It was reported on June 28th that the bitcoin blackmail virus swept the world in May. After that, network security institutions and companies of various countries have strengthened the prevention of the blackmail virus. But when people were still in doubt, the blackmail virus launched a new round of attacks in Europe. According to network security experts, the attacking virus is related to malicious software named "petrwrap" or "Petya". The latter, together with the "wannacry" which swept the world in May, was also created by the US National Security Bureau and was stolen by hackers and then spread widely on the network. In two months, hackers have launched two large-scale cyberattacks against government agencies and enterprises around the world. Now people are beginning to worry that future cyber virus attacks may become the norm.
After the attack, Microsoft immediately entered the investigation. The US Department of Homeland Security also said that it was detecting the attack and coordinating with other affected countries, and advised the victims not to pay the ransom, because even paying the ransom could not guarantee that hackers would unlock as agreed. The National Security Bureau of the United States is responsible for the theft and utilization of hacking tools by hackers for many times.
